Divide obtained marks by total marks and multiply by 100. For example, 450 out of 550 is 450 ÷ 550 × 100 = 81.82%.

Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value and multiply by 100. From 80 to 100 is a 25% increase.
›How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the price by the discount percent and divide by 100, then subtract it from the price. 20% off 2,500 is 2,500 − 500 = 2,000.
